Thuppakki movie is a Tamil-language historical drama film written and directed by K. V. Anand starring Srikanth, Prithviraj, Ritika Singh and Archana Kavi in the lead roles. The movie has been shot in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and English languages, however it was dubbed into Malayalam language under the title of Sathapoopattu. The movie is slated for a worldwide release on 28 September 2011. The movie is a remake of Hindi movie "" in which Shahrukh Khan played a key role in the film. In that Hindi version,it was a success for Shahrukh Khan and became one of his most recognizable roles in Bollywood films. The makers of Tamil version have kept all episodes from Indian version but have changed some episodes for this tamil version.
